Seaweed is a series of computational 2D art pieces mimicking seaweed or plankton drifting freely in the depths of the dark ocean. The images are inspired by work of Casey Reas and are created in Processing.
TWISTING, DEPTH, MOVEMENT is a series of images trying to recreate the effects of twisting, pinching, depth, tree-dimensionality and movement with the use of a simple 2D shape - the circle. The circle is copied, translates and rotated in 3D and the aggregation of the resulted projections brings the desired effect. The pieces are inspired by the work of Bridget Riley and are created via a MEL script in Maya.
TORUS EGG is a drawing following a fabrication project of a torus egg made of paper. Breaking the perfect shape or the egg and its radial symmetry by creating a tunnel with an axis uncomfortably askew from the vertical axis of the egg shape. The image is created in Grasshopper in Rhino.
